The Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment, also known as ‘The Tigers’, are based at MOD Manston in Thanet. We are an Army Reserve unit and have exciting part-time opportunities for you.

‘The Tigers’ are a flexible, local, fighting Regiment. We thrive and deliver excellence on complex, tough operations. Forward looking yet fiercely proud of our famous forebear Regiments, their fighting spirit, values and traditions thrive in today’s Regiment.

As the British Army's reserve force, we enable you to serve part-time alongside your day-to-day life. Joining the Army Reserve in Thanet means you can get involved with everything that the Regular Army does, from combat to peacekeeping and humanitarian work.

You will have opportunities to learn new skills, travel the world and take advantage of adventurous training. The difference is that Reservists are not full-time soldiers.

You can join as a man or women aged 18 to 43 and the time you serve is paid. As an infantry unit, our soldiers are trained in dismounted close combat on Wednesday evenings, weekends and a two-week annual training period. However, the amount of time you can commit is up to you.

The Barracks has excellent potential as a multi-use site and would be pleased to hear from local community organisations interested in using the facilities.

Further information can be found on: army.mod.uk

Do more. Be more. Visit us at MOD Manston, Wednesdays: 8pm to 10pm.
