In 1968 the Millom Iron Works closed with just three weeks’ notice, and nearly 500 people lost their jobs. Ruth Sutton’s play, performed with a local cast and directed by Jakki Moore at the Beggar’s Theatre in Millom, tells the story of the final day, and the impact of the closure on one local family.
