The final fixture for the Fireballs season

That’s it, our last matches of the season done. I’m delighted we were all able to play together as it was great to see how all the teams and players have developed. We sincerely hope you have all enjoyed your first season and we hope to see everyone back next in August!

Well done Rory, today’s HWP Fireballs Orange Spirit of the Match. Rory showed good focus and chased everything! 🔥⚽️

Well done Samuel, today’s HWP Fireballs Black Spirit of the Match. Samuel chased the ball down with fierce determination and nearly bagged a goal! 🔥⚽️

Congratulations to Callen, today’s HWP Fireballs Purple Player of the Match. Callen covered every blade of grass in his support of the team and was rewarded with his first goal. Not sure who is smiling most in the picture! #prouddad 🔥⚽️

Congratulations to Elliot, today’s HWP Fireballs Black Player of the Match. Elliot has grown so much in confidence in recent week and it’s been great to watch. Parents gave him a big cheer for bagging his first goal. Well done Elliot!🔥⚽️

Congratulations to Reece, today’s HWP Fireballs Red Player of the Match. A commanding performance made him a very worthy winner. Well done Reece🔥⚽️

Congratulations to Sam, today’s HWP Fireballs Orange Player of the Match. Sam had a great spell in goal as well as making some vital tackles in defence. Great job Sam🔥⚽️

So what’s next? It was the last matches of the regular season fixtures but it’s not all done and dusted.

- Training will continue on Saturday mornings until May 19th.
- The End of Season presentations will take place on Sunday 20th May (details tbc).
- We will potentially look at some friendlies for anyone interested.
- Tournament season begins. If you are scheduled to play, look out for details of each event.
- Registration evenings will be held to sign up for next season. We will confirm dates as soon as we know them.
- The committee is discussing a three day pre-season camp towards the end of the summer holidays. It’s in planning but will likely cost less than traditional holiday clubs AND comes with an exciting twist...more to be revealed soon.

Lastly, thanks to you all for helping make the Fireballs first season a real success. As we look to next season, we’d love to see you all back. We will aim to continue developing the children by keeping continuity with the teams, however, we are aware of the need to ensure we strike a better balance of players at different levels in each team. Where possible we will do this with the introduction of new players, but if switches are necessary we will do so and keep you updated.
