On a fresh afternoon with lovely sunshine, Bob Stinchcombe made another Great Escape. His triple was down 10-0 after the first 8 ends, 13-8 after 14 ends but they recovered to win 17-13 overall. Well done to Bob, Pete and Marlene. Commiserations to Mal, Bob and Heather.

In the other games, Dave's team beat Albert's 15-11 and Roger's team beat Pete's 14-13. Both tight games.

It was pleasing to see the new green in use on a lovely bracing day on the last weekend in September, our last friendly match of the month.

The club will continue to play throughout October complying with the COVID-19 rules from Bowls England and the government.

Thank you to Derek for organising the games and to John for running the bar.
