We’re pleased to say, we don’t seem to be suffering the same level of flooding in the underpass anymore. The floods were happening because the pumps that help disperse rainwater kept getting vandalised. We kept reporting this to the council and they’ve now fortified the pump cabinet so fingers crossed this does the trick and stops the vandals.
Fly-tipping has also eased off. The ‘CCTV in operation’ signs seem to have deterred most. However, we have continued to explore longer-term solutions.
Good news. After a team effort between the residents association and Joy at the council, we should soon see the installation of bollards to stop vehicles getting access to the affected areas.
