The third annual walk by Heavitree members took place on Thursday 16th April but this time, with a different route. The walk began at 9.30 from Madeira Bowling Club in Exmouth moving on to Phear Park Bowling Club where we met the always friendly Margot Allen.

After a coffee stop in Lympstone where we picked up 2 more walkers, the band of walkers continued to Topsham for another coffee stop and gained 2 more walkers before moving on to Topsham Bowling Club. After pausing there briefly, the final 4 mile leg back to Heavitree was completed - a total distance of 12 miles. At Heavitree, a large group of members cheered the walkers in and everyone settled down to enjoy a Devon cream tea.

Our thanks go to Rob and Liz French for organising the walk, which went with almost military precision, and the weather which proved to be ideal for the walkers.
