Find out more about this community in:

From our local Police Community Support Officer:
I am writing to make you aware of information suggesting a potential increase in opportunistic thefts from vehicles across local areas in the coming weeks. These offences typically involve offenders targeting insecure vehicles or those with valuables left on display, and they can affect both rural and residential communities.
While there is no immediate cause for alarm, raising awareness and encouraging simple preventative measures can significantly reduce the likelihood of offences occurring.
We would appreciate your support in sharing the following advice with residents through your usual communication channels:
Always lock vehicles, even when parked on driveways or outside homes
Remove all valuables from view, including bags, tools, and electronic devices
Avoid leaving keys or keyless entry fobs near doors or windows
Park in well-lit, overlooked areas where possible
Report any suspicious activity or unfamiliar individuals/vehicles within your area
We would also encourage residents to remain vigilant and report any incidents promptly, as timely information helps us identify patterns and respond effectively.
We will be carrying out patrols where appropriate and continuing proactive work to prevent crime and reassure communities.
If you notice any concerns or emerging issues within your parish, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are happy to provide further advice or support community engagement where required.
Thank you for your continued assistance in helping keep our communities safe.
Kind Regards,
PCSO Kane Lucas 19624
