What a lovely week for the weather all fixtures were played this week.

Last Saturday was a great turn out for our first meat draw coffee morning. Thanks Keith and all members for their support.

It started with us away to Wallsend Park we only managed 4 points winning on 2 rinks.

Tuesday night we had 2 matches on. In the Knight cup Collingwood was away at St Georges we managed 4 points with 2 rinks up.

In the Nines match we were at home to Copen Crofton. It was close 1 rink drawing the other 2 losing by a couple of shots.

Wednesday seen us in the Clegg home to Forest Hall another closely fought game. We had 2 rinks draw 1 rink lost only by a couple of shots and the other were a couple down overall the match was close, but we unfortunately lost by 3 shots.

Thursday night seen us again at home to Throckley B in the utilities. The team managed a great win there was a few lucky shots which some call wicks from both sides but was all taken in good humour. What a great match to be part of.

On Thursday afternoon saw our club champion Kate Adie play in the west Russell cup at home to Forth. On this occasion she did not win but has represented out club and more she’s shown we have some great lady members in our club. Watch out to other clubs our ladies are coming.

Friday afternoon we were at home to Willington Quay we managed a 1 rink win but Willington quay took the Match.

Also, on Friday night we seen 2 lots of county triples play the first was Keith Armstrong’s trio away at Cramlington which they were victorious and won 21-16

The other triples were Fabians trio at home to Gosforth Garden Village the game went back and forth lead changing constantly the last end was played, and we were all level 19 all, but Collingwood’s team managed to take the last and won 20-19

Thanks to all members for their support in playing and team captains for there hard work. Also, thanks to visiting teams and hosting teams for there hospitality and great games.
