Throwback to when the Green was Green

Message from Bradenham Bowls Club

Following another great year of sport of various discipline’s culminating last month in the World Cup we enter August after a hot, dry and humid spell, the Bowls Green (I say Green, more brown with a hint of Green) has faired reasonably well under the current heat conditions. Thanks go to Phil in watering duties and the green team in cutting duties, we look forward to a welcome break in the weather with some much needed rain to revive things.

Our season has continued with a number of matches rescheduled due to the heat; we have a full programme of fixtures for August along with the Ashby Shield being contested over two legs on 13th (at Watton) & 27th August (at Bradenham).

A Ladies v Gents Competition is planned for Sunday 30th August 2026 at 2.00pm.

The Internal Club competition is well under way with some interesting fixtures ahead which culminates on our Finals Day on Sunday 6th September.
