Find out more about this community in:

Tiaras on the Train event - celebrating in Royal / Jubilee style - the Queens Award for Voluntary Service that we are so proud to have on the one and only Queens Award winning Watercress Line. What a special memory lane cafe we had yesterday - in the afternoon our members had the choice of afternoon tea on the watercress line or extended afternoon watching a movie on the big screen
The pictures say it all in terms of the enjoyment had by all. Huge thanks to The Co-operative Food Alton, High Street , Waitrose & Partners and Iceland Foods for donating scones, cakes and other essentials for afternoon tea and Ian the manager of Waitrose who allowed us to use their parking in the light of limited spaces in station car park. Thanks to Alton Community Centre for the loan of the posh china and Brendoncare Alton for the loan of the catering hot water flasks. We feel very fortunate to have such support from our local community. Our productive and efficient collaborative relationship with other community groups in Alton is the unique feature that the Queen noted - when she decided we should be granted an award in her very special Platinum Jubilee Year - thank you Alton:)
