The Council Works Maintenance Team have been very busy since Storm Doris swept through the country. There were trees fallen at the Recreation Ground, telegraph poles bent over, trees on the Castle Acre main road and a very large Lime Tree fell at the Churchyard.

On the day of the storm the team were busy supporting Highways in attending the trees that had fallen and making safe the immediate areas – great team effort by all.
In the last week they have been busy cutting back and removing the fallen trees……..working through all manner of seasonal weather; from frost to sunshine, rain to more wind…….sometimes all in the same day.

The town thankfully did not lose too many great trees.
