TVBC on the green

Today we gave a warm and sunny welcome to a group from Test Valley Borough Council Council. Following a meeting of the TVBC Council Staff Service team from the Community and Leisure Department, held in the existing Clubhouse, those present took a walk around the site of the new Clubhouse and splash pad area in Vigo Park - plans for which were submitted last week - and then enjoyed a sandwich and homemade cake lunch prepared and served by Club Secretary Sue Milton and Bar Manager Val Carnegie. This was an opportuity to celebrate the Club and the new developments.

Afterwards the team came on the green for a taster session under the guidance of some of the Club's friendly and experienced coaches and bowlers - a number of them showing great promise! - as well as a general chat around the contribution that bowling can make to the community and to keeping fit.

The Council Staff Service team are welcome back to the Club at any time and we all hope you enjoyed the day and the experience.
