Over the last week or so we have had unofficial cutting and removal of trees and undergrowth in a number of locations across the village. Although I am sure the person is well intentioned - this is the middle of the nesting season and undertaking this sort of work is disruptive to many birds and mammals at this important time in the year. Please stop any further work. We do not want to have to take formal action to prevent further damage.

If you would like to be involved in environmental project, the Hamble Conservation Volunteers are always after help and support and despite the current lockdowns are still supporting people to undertake litter picks across Hamble Common whilst on their daily walk. If you’d be interested in doing so, please contact Philip from Hamble Conservation Volunteers on 07810453138 or hambleconserve@btinternet.com and he can arrange to leave equipment out for you at an agreed date and time.
