I am writing to provide an update on the resurfacing of the A1 between Apleyhead (A57/A614 junction) and Newark (A17/A46 junction). The scheme is progressing well and Phase 3 is scheduled to finish on Friday 16 May 2025.

Phase 4 begins on Monday 19 May with a full closure in place between 8pm and 6am on the A1 northbound carriageway from Newark to Apleyhead. A fully signed diversion route will be in place via the A616 and A614.

No work will take place on Friday 23 May and Monday 26 May to ease congestion and improve traffic flow during the bank holiday weekend. We are currently on target to complete this scheme on 19 July 2025.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
