The judge overseeing our case has scheduled 11 January as the date by which we must prepare our arguments and gather supporting evidence. In the meantime, he has encouraged both parties to engage in discussions with the aim of reaching a resolution before that deadline.

Negotiation is always the better option. From experience with previous tribunal cases, we know that preparing court bundles of evidence is a massive undertaking - often running into hundreds of pages - and must be compiled in a prescribed format as directed by the court. Although we did eventually win a pitch fee reduction with that case, the workload was enormous, which is why attempting to resolve matters beforehand not only shows good faith but can save significant time and effort.

Over the coming weeks, we will present our case to the company in line with the judge’s request and if they're not interested at least we can say we tried when we go to the full hearing next year.
