Urban & Civic Community Work - Hinxton Church Car Park and Churchyard
In case you have not already heard, you would wish to be aware that, as part of the U&C annual ‘support the local community’ pro bono effort, ECL (lead contractor for roadworks at the development site) are very kindly repairing the church car park on Tuesday and Wednesday October the 15th & 16th, starting at 8 am each day. The gravel area will be re-laid to gravel (like for like) and the tarmac ‘apron’ leading into the car park off the roadway wil be re-surfaced - I will be closing the car park tomorrow evening, placing a sign on the church and car park gates, and notifying nearby residents of what will be happening.
Also, on Wednesday afternoon a U&C team which will have been working in the playground that morning (washing down the play equipment) will be undertaking brush and weed clearance in the churchyard - Martin Fordham is very kindly going to position a trailer in the churchyard so that the ‘brushings’ can be removed off-site afterwards.
We will be offering these teams light refreshments while they are with us - if anyone is able to assist with doing so, could they please contact Angela ?
