YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU!

We are a members club and members do all of the organising of teams, fixtures, competitions, administration, events, coaching, social evenings, maintenance of the green, minor works in the building, bar staff, food ordering, preparation of teas for home matches, etc. We also have a President, Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary and Development Officer.

These duties are all carried out by volunteers.

We still have vacancies with no nominations and we desperately need people to step forward and volunteer for these posts before the AGM on 23rd October.

Vacancies

Ladies Administrator (Executive Committee)- to represent the Ladies on the Executive Committee which at present is all men.

Men’s Captain (General Committee)- to run the Men's League teams.

Men’s Vice Captain- to assist the men's captain run the Men's League teams.

Ladies Captain (General Committee)- to run the Ladies league team. If we do not fill this position the Ladies League Team may not be able to function next summer which would be a disaster for the Club as it may be very difficult to resurrect. We have a very experienced Ladies member in Thelma Helps who will assist and advise.

Outside Competitions Secretary (General Committee)- to organise and oversee the outdoor competitions.

Estate and Maintenance Manager (General Committee)- to sort out the property maintenance inside and outside the building.

Outside Competitions Committee (2 members)- to assist the competitions secretary.

Publicity and Press Officer- to maintain a high profile in the community.

Child and Vulnerable People Protection Officer- Be the first point of contact for members, children and parents for any issue concerning the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults, poor practice, and potential or alleged abuse.

We need members to form a Social Committee to make bookings of artists and arrange special events over the winter period for 2018/19. This work needs to start soon so that the Clubroom and entertainment can be booked in advance.

We have a Catering Officer, Liz Bowrah, and she needs a team of volunteers to help with the catering for the social events and bookings, on a rota basis, over the next 12 months.

Everyone is capable of doing something.
