The Club Finals are all completed now and congratulations to all the winners and commiserations to the runners up.  There are some photographs in the Gallery.

We had various club members involved in the P and D finals the same weekend as our finals.  Dave Heather, Jeff Passmore, Peter Gentry and Martin Ellis played in the semi-final of the P and D Fours but were unfortunately beaten.  Well done to Val and Jeff Passmore who got through the semi-final of the Mixed Pairs and went on to play in the final against Andy McCain and Linda Maple but were unfortunately beaten by them.

Martin Ellis went to Leamington to play in the National Champion of Champions and unfortunately got knocked out in Round 1.  He came back from being quite far behind and the goal was in sight but was beaten 21-20 on an umpire's measure.  Such hard luck, Martin.  He'd been looking forward to playing against Robert Paxton, one of the top England players, in the next round.

The Ladies P and D Finals take place on 5th, 6th and 7th September at Fareham Bowling Club.  Carol Turner and Kim Francis are both in the semi-finals of the Unbadged Signals, Carol against V Prior and Kim against S Brightman.  Their games start at 10 a.m. on the 5th.  If Carol and Kim win their games, they will meet each other in the final!  On Tuesday 6th, Jill Cook plays against P Lambshead in the 4-Wood Singles semi-final and Sheila Gentry plays against S Atkins in the Consolation Singles semi-final.  Both these games start at 10 a.m.  We wish all of you the very best of luck in your competitions.  For further details of the Order of Play, please click on this link which will take you to the Ladies P and D page where you will then be able to click on a further link.  If you are able to go along to see some of these games, I'm sure our ladies will be most glad of your support.
