Kent Police are getting an increased number of victims that have had items taken from their vehicles when left unattended.

These are mainly due suspects trying car door handles to identify insecure vehicles.

If you are leaving your vehicle for any amount of time check that the doors are physically locked and don't just rely on the remote.

Do not leave anything of value in your vehicle when unattended.

Park in a well-lit area.

If you see someone acting suspiciously around parked vehicles, contact the police.
