Battle Historical Society have been working, in close cooperation with Natasha Williams of English Heritage, to produce a video explaining why we have a town called Battle. The video has just been published by Mirador Television on YouTube – here’s the link

It is hoped this will help publicise Battle to a wider audience and explain where the key Battle of Hastings in 1066 actually took place between the invading Normans and the defending Saxons.
