North Baddesley’s Village Day proved to be another huge success this year as record numbers turned out to support the event.

With the Royal Wedding being screened inside the sports pavilion for those who wanted to watch it, numerous stalls in the grounds beckoned villagers outside into the gleaming sunshine.

For the children there was a bouncy castle, slide, teacup ride and mini-dodgems and the adults could enjoy a drink at the bar whilst watching the various different events taking place outside in the arena including ferret racing, a dog show and archery training.

The new children’s playpark was hugely popular providing a pleasant area for those having a picnic whilst their children entertained themselves.

Singers, Beadles Balladeers, serenaded those taking a break from the sunshine inside the pavilion with volunteers serving teas and coffees throughout.

With an extension of the bar and live music until the evening, a relaxed atmosphere descended over the grounds as the stalls were cleared away.

A very entertaining day for the whole family!
