With people taking their daily exercise as a walk, it’s good to see that Warnford’s footpaths are really coming into their own. It makes the network seem even more valuable. And the spring flowers are beautiful. Wood anemones, primroses, celandines, violets – and the bluebells are already coming out, the earliest I can remember. Bosenhill Lane is the best place in the parish for them, I think – but you do have to be ready for a few ruts and a steep hill.

A few reminders for when you are out and about. Please keep to the footpath or track – there is a map of the rights of way on this website. If you come across a gate, please close it after you. Please do keep your dog under control – on a lead if there is a notice asking you to. One or two groups have been seen wandering across the arable fields way off the path with dogs running about everywhere.

It can be difficult to keep to the footpath route after the landowners have harvested, ploughed or harrowed the fields but hopefully they will be able to remake the paths quickly afterwards so that people not familiar with the path don't accidentaly wander off and end up in the wrong place.

There is a map of our footpath network on the website. If you find it difficult to follow the route on the ground or spot a problem please let me know. I will do everything I can to get it fixed.
