We’re sorry customers in Lenham, Pluckley, Egerton, Newnham, Teynham, Lynstead, Doddington and surrounding areas who may begin experiencing water supply issues this morning, whether it’s low pressure or no water at all.

Yesterday afternoon (12 November), we had a fault at our water treatment works in Newnham which is preventing us from pumping water to our underground drinking water storage tanks in the area.

Our expert Technicians are on the case and making final repairs, however drinking water storage levels in the area have dropped significantly, meaning we can’t pump drinking water to you.

We have re-directed water around our vast network of underground pipes, and tankering into the storage tanks to keep supply interruptions to an absolute minimum.

Bottled water stations are being set up and we’ll update you with location details as soon as we can.

We have teams out and about proactively delivering bottled water to those customers on our Priority Services Register who are most in need as well as care homes in the area.

Our free Priority Services ensures our most vulnerable customers receive as much help and support as we can provide during these incidents. You can register and find out more about the services we provide here.

People not yet registered can ring us on 0333 000 001.

We will write to you again at around 10am providing updates on the progress we’re making. You can also check for updates on our website or receive live updates through our interactive map.

Please share this information amongst your networks to ensure as many people receive this information as possible.
