Alton Tennis Club Lead Coach

It is with great pleasure that we welcome to the club our new coach, William May-Miller. As well as running the In2tennis coaching courses, William is available to all members for private coaching.

William has been a full time tennis coach for the past 7 years and a part time tennis coach for several years before that.

William comes form a strong playing background; as a junior William trained with members of the Hampshire county team and at the same time as playing for his local club. Since the age of just 15 he was the only teenager representing his club in the adult team. More recently, William was the hitting partner of a former New Zealand international player.

William holds the RPT Mark of a Pro Plus qualification, which is an LTA Level 3 equivalence. For the past several years William has been coaching at Dauntsey’s School, in Wiltshire, teaching all levels of tennis. During his time at Dauntsey’s he was given the responsibility of teaching the 2nd team, the 4th form boys team and assisting the coaching of the 1st team.

More recently William was made Head Coach at Churt tennis club, conducting all their junior coaching and developing holiday camps.

In his spare time William is a professional Magician performing at weddings and grown-up birthday parties. He also enjoys keeping fit and frequents the gym as well as the swimming pool. We look forward to William working his magic at the club! :o)

To introduce himself to the club William will be offering five private tennis lesson for the price of four.

That is five lessons for just £100!

As well as coaching, William also offers a racket re-stringing service.
