Due to the Coronavirus, WCS has been in lockdown twice, firstly since the end of February then again the start of November. When WCS reopens again possibly in June 2021 it will be in a phased manner as follows. Existing WCS Members will attend 2 seasions a week with only 5 members maximum allowed in attendance, for a transition period yet to be decided. New members will be recruited from now on and will either join at the end of the transition period or if an existing member/s cannot attend either of the sessions for whatever reason the New recruit/s will be invited along as a way of introducing them to the Men's Shed. Please see the WCS Recruitment Page for in-depth details amd an application form in Word to download.

Outside of Members working on Projects, I am also looking to recruit anyone who may not wish to work on Projects but is retired and has Management, Supervisory, Administration or Financial experience to become involved in the running of Wells Community Shed. Tasks on these aspects will be increasing as WCS expands with more members and sessions per week

The Wells Community Shed (WCS), affiliated to the UK Men's Shed association (UKMSA), is expanding and looking to recruit many new members. Currently WCS has 10 Members and was open just one day a week every Monday 9am to 1pm and will move to at least a 2 sessions a week, day/s to be notified . We are mainly involved in Wood based projects but are open to being involved in other crafts. However anyone having either a Medical Background or being/experience of a First Aider or wanting to be a first Aider is a definite plus. Also if anyone has a specific skill Background e.g. Wood Finisher, Wood Lathe Turner or any skill the Shed could use then these are a definite plus as well whilst not discriminating against those with no skills.

If you want to know more about Men's Sheds please go to the UKMSA Page on this Website plus explore the whole of our Website and give us feedback on our Website, good bad and suggesstions.

If you want to know more about WCS and apply, you can use the Recrutment Page or the Contact details Page on this Website to go directly or if you prefer Email Martin Curran at wellscommunityshed22@gmail.com or ring or WhatsApp on 07598 132193. If you have a skill or an experience background that we could use please let us know but not having any skills is not a disadvantage as such as the Men's Shed principles are also about socialising, friendship, learning and Health - mental, general and wellbeing.
