Why come to our Annual Parish Meeting on Monday 29th April?
One of the reasons we find our Annual Parish Meeting so worthwhile is the half hour our parish councillors get to spend meeting and chatting with residents before the meeting officially starts. It's a relaxed opportunity for you to ask us about what the parish council does over a drink, say hello to our office staff, and generally put faces to names. Infact, those attending are often surprised to find out that the person they bump into at the local shops, or say hello to on their daily dog walk is one of our hard working councillors!
This year, we'll use the meeting itself to give an update on some of the projects we're involved with, including Speldhurst Chapel Project and Langton Community Hub. You will also hear from our committees and working groups, from Amenities and Environment, to Highways and Planning. Hopefully, you'll go away with a much better idea of what our role is in improving and maintaining quality of life in the parish, and perhaps how you can get involved too!
We really hope you'll join us in the school hall at Speldhurst Primary School on Monday 29th April, with drinks served from 7.00 pm and a meeting start time of 7.30. See you there.
