Thank you to Derek for organizing another friendly match within the club. This match was played out in very windy conditions.

The new green is fast compared to the old green, and the gusts of wind did have an impact on the bowling. It took some time to adjust to the wind, and maybe some of us who have narrow bias bowls did not adjust to the wind at all,

Thank you to everyone for playing in a good spirit and enjoying the sun inbetween the gusts.. It is good to see the new green in use more and more.

The Tuesday Triples Tournament. a nice piece of alliteration there, starts on on Tuesday 25 August and will run for five weeks. A new format this year with two sets of 7 ends to make sure the games finish before it gets dark.

Check the photos and you will see why Bob did not get the part of Professor Albus Dumbledore in Harry Potter
