Had by all at Collingwood’s Social Evening

The evening was well supported by club members, their families, and friends. As a charity, it is those who make it possible for our club to exist and our members to bowl.

Apart from prizes to be won – many of them – the usual food and drink along with the entertainment was enjoyed by all.

Many of the revellers were observed ‘taking to floor’ with gusto and it would be of no surprise if this writer were to see the odd couple appear on Britain’s Got Talent.

It goes without saying that these events take a deal of organising and it is not possible to mention all who take part in making it a success.

However, our MC for the evening, Keith Armstrong needs a mention for his control of the evening – although once he gets that microphone in his hand, there is no prising it away.

Finally, thanks go to Mr Bowls himself, for the success of the evening, our Chairman Michael Wilson the man who makes it all tick with his endless endeavours on behalf of Collingwood Bowling Club.

Photographs of our evening can be seen on our website in the Galleries Section.
