Zig Zag One-Way over Early May Bank Holiday
National Trust have advised that early indications seem to suggest that the measures they put in place at Easter were successful in terms of accommodating the many visitors, without unduly compromising access or health and safety. Therefore, in order to reduce traffic problems at Box Hill over the coming early May Bank Holiday weekend, and depending on the weather and the traffic, they may again implement a temporary one-way system on the Zig Zag Road - uphill only from the junction with Old London Road to the National Trust visitor centre on the top of Box Hill on Sunday April 30th and Monday 1st May. If so it will apply to all traffic including cyclists (except "blue light" emergency vehicles). So please drive with care. During one-way operation all traffic travelling from the top of Box Hill to Mickleham will have to use Boxhill Road and then the B2033 or the B2032.
