National Trust have advised us that in order to reduce traffic problems at Box Hill over the Easter holidays they are implementing a temporary one-way system on the Zig Zag Road - uphill only from the junction with Old London Road to the National Trust visitor centre on the top of Box Hill. We understand the uphill only one-way rule will operate from Friday 14th April through Monday 17th April, "between 10am and 5pm, depending how it goes", and will apply to "all traffic including cyclists" (except "blue light" emergency vehicles). So please drive with care!

During the one-way operation all traffic travelling from the top of Box Hill to Mickleham will have to use Boxhill Road and then the B2033 or the B2032.

National Trust have apologized for the short notice, but this decision was only taken this week following heavy traffic problems on Box Hill last weekend.
