13th May v Brentwood home
A sunny evening with birdsong in the background. A tight fought match. We won
two rinks and lost two.
Gary, Graham and Mel on rink 2 had a close match with our team taking a 5-2
lead at end 5. The opposition came back and took the lead 10-6 after 9 ends.
The rest of the match was close ending 16-15 to us.
Mike, Dave S and Brian on rink 3 took the lead 6-2 after six ends but the
opposition came back to lead 11-7 after thirteen ends. We levelled 13-13 on end
17 but lost 17-13 on last end.
Jeff, Jon and Winston on rink 4 had a tough game drawing after four ends. The
opposition went on to score 12-5 after ten ends. We gave a good try but
eventually lost 18-15.
Mark, Ian and Steve on rink 5 had a close match and was level 5-5 after six
ends. They pulled ahead to 14-7 at end eleven. The opposition took the lead 17-
16 on end seventeen. But with determination we won two shots on end eighteen
to win 18-17.

Report Brentwood Mens League 3 rd June Elm Park home A cloudy evening with very little breeze almost stormy type weather. We won two rinks and lost two rinks Rink 2 Ian, Steve and John F started well and scored a 5 on end 7 to be 7-5 ahead. Unfortunately the opposition fought back and went ahead and continued to stay ahead winning 20-13. Rink 3 Jon B, Winston and Dave A took an early lead 3-1 after four ends. The opposition were very strong and although we played some good shots they pulled ahead and won 22-9. Rink 4 Gary, Graham and Mel –Took the lead 3-2 after four ends. We continued to keep the lead throughout the game and won 22-8. Rink 5 Brian, Dave S and Mike S after a late start we took the lead 3-2 after four ends. We continued to keep the lead throughout the game and won 17-13. Well done everybody and thanks for those who helped to tidy up at the end.
