Boundary Commission Changes 2023

Posted - October 2023

Please find attached the Local Government Boundary Commission Final Recommendations for Shropshire Council.

The following text appears to confirm that the changes relating to the Tern Division are:

  • Bicton to Loton not Longden so leaves the Tern division.
  • The warding for Bicton is confirmed with the urban areas of the parish being included into the Bicton Heath division (formerly known as Bowbrook)
  • Walford Heath goes to Baschurch division, but Old Woods remains in the Bomere Heath Parish and therefore stays in Tern.
  • The warding for Uffington (Coracle Close and part of Pimley Manor) has been included with Sundorne.

It is worth noting that Bomere Heath is referred to by it's historic title of PimHill. The PC are reviewing updating this to Bomere Heath & District, which has been informally used for over 40 years.
