Road Closure June 2021

Medway Council's (Drainage) Highways department will be undertaking drainage works on Cooling Road on the 14th June 2021 which are estimated to last two weeks.  The works will require a road closure and diversion route. A letter to this effect and highlighted below will be sent out to residents which includes the closed section and diversion route.

"I am writing to inform you that Medway Council will be carrying out essential highway works on Cooling Road. The works will involve construction of a new drainage system for a short section of the road.

"The works are scheduled to commence on the 14th June 2021 for an estimate 2 weeks. The work will be carried out during the day between 7am to 7pm but the road will remain closed overnight for the duration of the works.

"To carry out the works, the road will be closed between Norwood House to number 29, Cooling Road. Pedestrian access will remain open.

"Every effort will be made to keep disturbance and site noise to a minimum unfortunately, there will be some periods where noise is unavoidable, and Medway Council apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused by the works.

"On the back of the letter, you can find the diversion route and closed section of the road. A copy of the diversion route can also be found on Medway council's website at www.medway.gov.uk/roadworks.

"If you require additional information regarding these works, please contact Medway Council using the contact details provided".
