Montacute House

Montacute House is in the heart of the village with around 9.9 acres of formal gardens and 260 acres of parkland.  This Elizabethan mansion was built around 1598 by Sir Edward Phelips and is now owned by the National Trust.

Ham Hill Country Park

Ham Hill covers 3 parishes, Montacute, Norton sub Hamdon and Stoke sub Hamdon and is a nationally important geological area.  There are beautiful walks through peaceful, leafy woodlands and glades and, grassy meadows.
