2022

February 2022: AGM – JW becomes Chair

July 2022: “Access for All” event in conjunction with Basingstoke District Disability Forum

2023

February 2023: AGM

June 2023: Initial meeting with the Patient Experience Team at Hampshire Hospitals

July 2023: an intercom was operational in The Malls for easier access by disabled patrons to enter the main public toilet area for free.

August 2023: Attended two open public forum about Train companies closing train offices.

October 2023: Meeting with Stagecoach South regional Manager

November 2023: Conducted a pilot of “Disability Awareness Training” workshop at NHH for NHS staff with the support of Patient Experience Team at Hampshire Hospitals

December 2023: Meeting with Basingstoke and Area Tinnitus Support Group and licensing officer for BDBC for Private Hire Taxis

2024

February 2024:  
•    Taking the minutes at our monthly committee meetings.
•    We have set up a Restricted Facebook Group of 84 Members, a website that can be easily found on Google search that had 23 views in January 2025, and a new Gmail address.
•    Composed a list of guest speakers at our monthly meetings since 2017 and a list of potential speakers to invite to future meetings.
•    An initial contact letter has complied with 5 general questions to send to the planning officer in charge of planning consultations 
•    Survey to enquire about taxis and the needs of the Basingstoke population.
