Acklington Parish lies south-west of Amble and, at the time of the 2011 census, had a population of 544 people living in 277 households. There are two small settlements within the parish: Acklington Village and Guyzance.
Acklington Parish Council meets bi-monthly to consider issues affecting our community. Meetings are normally held at 7:00 pm on the first Tuesday of the month in Acklington Village Hall and are open to the public.
The Council has ten Councillors representing Acklington and Guyzance. The Council does not appoint any Councillor to outside bodies.
