Alton Men's Shed were asked to assist Alton Infants School to combat the poor air quality in the playground that runs alongside Normandy Street. The members of the shed worked tirelessly over the half-term break to produce 32 high quality wooden planters. The school will fill them with topsoil and plant a variety of native hedge cuttings. Overtime these will form a screen from the traffic and help to improve the air quality.
