New speed gun for Audlem Speed Watch

On Thursday 9th July, Councillors Carl Dovey, Phillip Baker, and the Parish Clerk presented a new speed camera to members of Audlem Speed Watch. The new equipment can record vehicles entering and leaving Audlem that exceed the speed limit, and also record whether vehicles have a road license, cloned number plates, an MOT certificate or insurance.
This will allow Audlem SpeedWatch to continually update the Cheshire Police Area Strategic Partnership with a log Sheet after each SpeedWatch session, which will include a video or picture of offending vehicles.
The Parish Council is thrilled to be able to assist the work of the Speed Watch team, and would like to thank all of the volunteers for their tireless work in helping to monitor and discourage speeding through the village.
