Country Neighbour

The Basildon Country Neighbour is the village magazine for Upper and Lower Basildon. Our team of volunteers creates and distributes ten issues each year to over 600 homes. Readers pay £5 for an annual subscription and we are supported by over 40 local advertisers.

Each edition contains news from around the village and around the area, church news and updates from the Parish Council. We also feature a variety of articles in our regular sections which include Around the Area, Nature and the Environment, Health and Wellbeing, Food and Drink, Poetry Corner and Local History.

We welcome articles from residents and local organisations on any subject which may be of interest to our readers. We also regularly feature photos of the village and surrounding area submitted by readers, one of which is chosen to be the cover photo for each issue.
