Queen Elizabeth Park Lawn Bowls Club play matches on Q E Park, Stapleford during the week between 1st May and 30th September each year and also socially between players. This newly formed club has been founded in 2025 from 2 existing clubs merging together , namely Beeston Unity and Toton Lane. The origins of both clubs date back to 1925 and 1927 .Toton Lane bowls club have played at Q E Park since being formed in 1925 and have enjoyed many years playing in both EBA & EBF leagues. In 1985 a new clubhouse was built and was opened by Duncan Goodhew (Olympic swimmer ) and Tim Robinson ( Notts County Cricket Captain). Beeston Unity was originally founded in 1927 as the Manchester Unity Club and played on Middle Street, Beeston for many years, but in 1973 the building and grounds ( including the green ) were sold and it became The Beech Tree public house. The players reformed as Beeston Unity Bowling Club and moved to Broadgate Park, Beeston and now relocated again to Q E Park, Stapleford. Our newly formed Club plays in the Nottinghamshire EBF & EBA, Beeston Open and Long Eaton leagues and welcomes new players who want to experience playing or previous bowlers who wish to get back into the game. We have a qualified coach, safeguarding officer, and offer training and equipment to get you started. Our friendly group offer advice and education to new recruits and make it fun to learn this great sport.
