It will be necessary to close Standen Street, Benenden from 5th March 2026 for up to 5 days.

The road will be closed outside Bankside Farm.

The alternative route is via Standen Street, Mill Street, Sponden Lane, Queen Street A268, Rye Road A268, Crouch Lane, Standen Street, and reversed.

This is to enable burst water main repairs to be carried out by South East Water.

It will be necessary to close Standen Street, Benenden from 9th March 2026 for up to 4 days.

The road will be closed outside 10 Vyvyan Cottages and .

The alternative route is via Standen Street, Crouch Lane, Dingleden, Woodcock Lane, Stnaden Street.

This is to enable burst water main repairs to be carried out by South East Water.

UK Power Networks - Temporary Road Closure - Goddards Green Road, Benenden - 10th March 

Due to works planned to be undertaken by UK Power Networks, it will be necessary to close part of Goddards Green Road, Benenden, from 10th March 2026 with estimated completion by 13th March 2026.

Goddards Green Road, Benenden, will be closed 1 Land north of Old Benenden Hospital. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Goddards Green Road, Benenden Road, Cranbrook Road, Tenterden Road, Golford Road, Goddards Green Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow utility asset maintenance works to be carried out, works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

Temporary Road Closure - A262 Biddenden Road, A262 The Street & A262 Sissinghurst Road, Sissinghurst

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Kent County Council, it will be necessary to close part of A262 Biddenden Road, A262 The Street & A262 Sissinghurst Road, Sissinghurst, from 10th March 2026 with estimated completion by 19th March 2026.

A262 Biddenden Road, A262 The Street & A262 Sissinghurst Road, Sissinghurst, will be closed from the junction with Hareplain Road to the junction with Chapel Lane, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A262 Sissinghurst Road, A262 High Street, A262 Tenterden Road, A262 Biddenden Road, A28 Ashford Road, A28 Silver Hill, A28 Ashford Road, A28 East Cross, A28 High Street, A28 West Cross, A28 Rolvenden Road, A28 Rolvenden Hill, A28 Tenterden Road, B2086 Regent Street, B2086 Benenden Road, B2086 Rolvenden Road, B2086 The Street, B2086 Cranbrook Road, B2086 Benenden Road, B2086 Swattenden Lane, A229 Hartley Road, A229 Angley Road, A229 Wilsley Green, A229 Wilsley Pound Roundabout, A262 The Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow carriageway resurfacing to be carried out, works are undertaken by Kent County Council.

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Zack Contractors, it will be necessary to close part of Walkhurst Road, Benenden, from 16th March 2026 with estimated completion by 4th April 2026.

Walkhurst Road, Benenden, will be closed from the junction with B2086 The Street to the new Canham homes development. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Walkhurst Road, Goddards Green Road, New Pond Road, B2086 The Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow highway improvement works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Zack Contractors.

Stepneyford Lane, Benenden, will be closed from approximately 280 metres North of the junction with B2086 Rolvenden Road, for a distance approximately 100 metres in a North direction. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stepneyford Lane, B2086 Rolvenden Road, B2086 The Street, New Pond Road, Goddards Green Road, Green Lane, Stepneyford Lane and vice versa.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Halden Lane, A28 Tenterden Road, B2086 Regent Street, B2086 Benenden Road, B2086 Rolvenden Road, Stepneyford Lane, Halden Lane and vice versa.

Nineveh Lane, Benenden, will be closed in the vicinity of Netters Hall. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Attwaters Lane, Water Lane, A229 Hawkhurst Road, A229 Hartley Road, B2086 Swattenden Lane, B2086 Benenden Road, B2086 Cranbrook Road, Babbs Lane, Spring Lane, Nineveh Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow new water service connection works to be carried out, works are undertaken by South East Water.

Temporary Road Closure & No Waiting - New Pond RoadBenenden - 8th April 

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Vodafone, it will be necessary to close and impose no waiting on part of New Pond Road, Benenden, from 8th April 2026 with estimated completion by 10th April 2026.

New Pond Road, Benenden, will be closed and no waiting will be imposed in the vicinity of the side of Walkhurst Farm, between the junction with Goddards Green Road and the junction with B2086 The Street. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via New Pond Road, B2086 The Street, Walkhurst Road, Goddards Green Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow chamber remedial works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Vodafone.

Bishopsden Road, Benenden - 15th April 2026

 It will be necessary to close Bishopsden Road, Benenden from 15th April 2026 for up to 1 day.

 The road will be closed between Bishopsdale Oast and Birch House.

 The alternative route is via Bishopsden Road, Frogs Hole Lane, Goddards Green Road, Benenden Road, Tenterden Road, Lucks Lane, and vice versa.

 It is planned that the road will be closed between 09:30 hrs and 15:30 hrs.

 This is to enable tree safety works to be carried out by Kent County Council.

SGN - Temporary Road Closure & Prohibition of Parking - Walkhurst RoadBenenden - 1st June 2026

Due to works planned to be undertaken by SGN, it will be necessary to close part of Walkhurst Road, Benenden, from 5th January 2026 with estimated completion by 20th July 2026.

Walkhurst Road, Benenden, will be closed from the junction with B2086 The Street to the junction with Goddards Green Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Parking on Walkhurst Road will be prohibited as per signage on site. 

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Goddards Green Road, New Pond Road, B2086 The Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow gas mains replacement works to be carried out, works are undertaken by SGN.
