Due to works planned to be undertaken by SGN, it will be necessary to close part of Walkhurst Road, Benenden, from 15th June 2026 with estimated completion by 3rd August 2026.
Walkhurst Road, Benenden, will be closed from the junction with B2086 The Street to the junction with Goddards Green Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Parking on Walkhurst Road will be prohibited as per signage on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Goddards Green Road, New Pond Road, B2086 The Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow gas mains replacement works to be carried out, works are undertaken by SGN.

Goddards Green Road, East End - 29th June
Due to works planned to be undertaken by Cottier Contracting, it will be necessary to close part of Goddards Green Road, East End, from 29th June 2026 with estimated completion by 4th September 2026.
Goddards Green Road, East End, will be closed from the junction with Green Lane to property named Wood Stock. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Goddards Green Road, Golford Road, Tenterden Road, Cranbrook Road, Benenden Road, Goddards Green Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow highway drainage Installation and footway construction works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Cottier Contracting.

Sponden Lane, Sandhurst - 30th July
It will be necessary to close Sponden Lane, Sandhurst from 30th July 2026 for up to 5 days.
The road will be closed by Sponden Corner field.
The alternative route is via A268 Queen Street, A268 Rye Road, A28 Hastings Road, A28 High Street, B2086 Regent Street, B2086 Benenden Road, B2086 Rolvenden Road, B2086 The Street, B2086 Cranbrook Road, Iden Green Road, New Pond Road, Mill Street, and reverse.
This is to repair a leaking comm pipe in the verge, to be carried out by South East Water.

Due to works planned to be undertaken by OPENREACH LIMITED, it will be necessary to close part of Mill Street, Iden Green, from 4th August 2026 with estimated completion by 5th August 2026.
Mill Street, Iden Green, will be closed approximately 30 metres North of the entrance to Turks Retreat. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mill Street, Iden Green Road, B2086 The Street, B2086 Rolvenden Road, B2086 Benenden Road, B2086 Regent Street, A28 High Street, A28 Hastings Road, A268 Rye Road, A268 Queen Street, Sponden Lane, Mill Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

Cranbrook Rugby Club - Temporary Road Closures - 7,777 Fun Run, Various Roads, Cranbrook - 29th August
Due to the 7,777 Fun Run, planned to be held by Cranbrook Rugby Club, it will be necessary to close parts of Various Roads, Cranbrook, from 29th August 2026 with estimated completion by 29th August 2026.
The roads will be closed between the hours of 10:30 and 12:30 only, as per the below schedule:
A229 Hartley Road/A229 Angley Road, Cranbrook, will be closed from the junction with B2085 Glassenbury Road to the junction with Waterloo Road.
Waterloo Road, Cranbrook, will be closed in its entirety.
Stone Street, Cranbrook, will be closed in its entirety.
High Street, Cranbrook, will be closed in its entirety.
Wheatfield Way, Cranbrook, will be closed in its entirety.
Oatfield Drive, Cranbrook will be closed from the junction with Wheatfield Way to the junction with A229 Angley Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2085 Glassenbury Road, A262 Goudhurst Road, A229 Wilsley Pound Roundabout, A229 Wilsley Green and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the event.
The closures are required for the safety of the public and event attendees to allow the 7,777 fun run to be held, the event is being held by Cranbrook Rugby Club.

Openreach - Temporary, Mandatory, 40 MPH Speed Limit - Dingleden & B2086 Rolvenden Road, Benenden - 1st September
Due to works planned to be undertaken by Openreach, it will be necessary to impose a temporary, mandatory 40 MPH speed limit on parts of Dingleden & B2086 Rolvenden Road, from 1st September 2026 with estimated completion by 1st September 2026. The current 60 MPH speed limits will be suspended for the duration of the works.
The current speed limit on Dingleden will be suspended from the junction with Rolvenden Road, for a distance approximately 10 metres in a South direction. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The current speed limit on B2086 Rolvenden Road will be suspended from near Beacon Mill House, for a distance approximately 270 metres in a West direction. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow cabling works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Openreach.
