ROAD CLOSURES

Green Lane, Benenden - 1st June

It will be necessary to close Green Lane, Benenden from 1st June 2026 for up to 5 days.

The road will be closed outside The Granary.

The alternative route is via Green Lane, Halden Lane, Frogs Hole Lane, Goddards Green Road and vice versa.

This is to repair a leaking comm pipe to be carried out by South East Water.

Hinksden RoadIden Green - 4th June 

Due to works planned to be undertaken by OPENREACH LIMITED, it will be necessary to close part of Hinksden Road, Iden Green, from 4th June 2026 with estimated completion by 5th June 2026.

Hinksden Road, Iden Green, will be closed approximately 200 metres South from Scullsgate Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hinksden Road, Coldharbour Road, Mill Street, Sponden Lane, Field Green, Hinksden Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, works are undertaken by OPENREACH LIMITED.

SGN - Temporary Road Closure & Prohibition of Parking - Walkhurst RoadBenenden - 15th June 

Due to works planned to be undertaken by SGN, it will be necessary to close part of Walkhurst Road, Benenden, from 15th June 2026 with estimated completion by 3rd August 2026.

Walkhurst Road, Benenden, will be closed from the junction with B2086 The Street to the junction with Goddards Green Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Parking on Walkhurst Road will be prohibited as per signage on site. 

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Goddards Green Road, New Pond Road, B2086 The Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow gas mains replacement works to be carried out, works are undertaken by SGN.

Goddards Green RoadEast End - 29th June

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Cottier Contracting, it will be necessary to close part of Goddards Green Road, East End, from 29th June 2026 with estimated completion by 4th September 2026.

Goddards Green Road, East End, will be closed from the junction with Green Lane to property named Wood Stock. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Goddards Green Road, Golford Road, Tenterden Road, Cranbrook Road, Benenden Road, Goddards Green Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow highway drainage Installation and footway construction works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Cottier Contracting.
