Welcome to the website of Bicton Parish Council

Formation and Early History

Bicton was constituted as an ecclesiastical parish in 1853 and later became a civil parish in 1885.  This transition marked the beginning of organised local governance in the area, allowing for more  structured community management  and representation.

Bicton Parish Council

Bicton Parish Council comprises nine members (there is currently one vacancy) who are elected at local election times or co-opted if a vacancy becomes available between elections.

The Parish Council employs a Parish Clerk to organise the council and to form and take minutes at meetings.
