Thank you for visiting the Billingshurst Bowling Club website.

The Club has excellent facilities including a clubhouse, pavilion and an excellent green, which was only just reinvigorated this winter from a grant received from the Better Billingshurst small grants fund. We are based in very pleasant surroundings in the rural setting of the village of Billingshurst situated just behind the Station Road Gardens and next to the Leisure Centre.

The Club enjoys a very active membership who participate in several friendly matches against other local clubs across West Sussex and parts of Surrey. As well as a varied calendar of internal league and cup competitions, together with weekly fun drives such as a “Crackerjack drive” our Friday Club night is always well attended.

We also take part in County competitions, currently Men’s singles and pairs together with the newly introduced mixed fours, were we reached the Area Finals in 2025. We always have representatives in other Clubs one day invitation events were possible and in 2025 our Men’s team won the Storrington triples competition and our Ladies won the Felbridge triples competition.

Beside bowling, the social calendar is very busy, which includes an annual quiz, a ploughman’s supper on the last night of our Friday Night League, a Family Day, Chairman’s Charity Day (2026 will be in aid of the RNLI), skittle nights, New Year Dinner and other events.

As a self-funded Club, maintenance tasks, such as green cutting, cleaning, gardening, general upkeep, catering and governance are all managed by volunteers.

New members are always made to feel very welcome, so why not get in touch for further information, or just turn up and have a go at any of our Friday Club Nights run from Late April through to September, between 6.00pm to dusk.
