Billingshurst Bowling Club - Roll up as strangers, leave as friends

Why Join Billingshurst Bowling Club?

Whatever your age or experience, you'll soon discover that the game brings us all together - but it's the friendships that keep us coming back.

People may initially join for the bowls, but they usually end up staying for the people. And then the bowls.

So, whether you're looking for a new hobby, friendly competition or simply a welcoming group of people to spend time with, there's always something happening at Billingshurst Bowling Club. Alongside league matches and county competitions, we enjoy Friday Club Nights, charity events, quiz evenings, family days and plenty of social gatherings throughout the year.

Life Beyond the Scorecard

One of the things we're most proud of is the incredible mix of people who make up our club - and the incredible things they do. Our members come from all walks of life, each bringing their own stories, experiences and personalities.

Next Stop... New York!

This September, Billingshurst Bowling Club will be representing England at the New York Lawn Bowling Club's Centennial International Friendly Tournament, taking on teams from the USA and Ireland in one of the biggest moments in the club's history. We'll be sharing the journey from the very beginning, with player profiles, training updates, travel diaries, photos and match reports, giving everyone the chance to follow our adventure across the Atlantic.

Meet the members

Over the coming months, we'll be introducing many of them through our new Meet the Members series, alongside features from some very special match reporters.

Fancy Giving Bowls a Go?

If you've never played before, you're in exactly the right place. Most of our members were beginners once too. You don't need your own bowls, you don't need to wear white (initially) and you certainly don't need any experience. Simply come along to one of our friendly Friday Club Nights between late April and September, or get in touch and we'll happily introduce you to the club. We think you'll be surprised by just how quickly you'll feel at home.
