Yesterday, at a meeting of the Committee to discuss the latest recommendations from Bowls England, it was decided to make some changes to the restrictions that have been imposed on club activities.

From this Saturday 11th July, access to the club building will now be permitted except for the changing rooms. It is important to clean and sanitise anything handled or touched by any members. Sanitisation liquid is provided. Use of the toilets is allowed, but members must sanitise, and clean up after use, any hand towel waste must be taken away by the members for disposal outside of the club.

Use of the kitchen is not permitted; members must bring any refreshment they may like with them, and take away any rubbish.

The equipment shed may now be accessed, but any use of the equipment must be sanitised BEFORE and AFTER use.

Singles, doubles or triples may be played, but a strict rink booking system is in force. Members are asked to contact Michael Russell to book any sessions. Social distancing must be observed at all times.

Andy Walding and Steve Callard have kindly agreed to try organising some internal competitions. If any members are interested, please notify either of them.

I do hope that you can enjoy some degree of bowling for the rest of the season.

Best Wishes

David Elphick (Chairman)
