A mixed start to the season in terms of results. Matches have been played in three of the four leagues the Club has entered, with there being slightly more losses than wins. Some matches have been postponed due to the inclement weather. In seasons gone by the Club has begun well and faded towards the end of the year. Let us hope the opposite prevails and this year sees a stronger performance throughout. The Club has two teams in the Age Concern League with both being in the same division. The ‘sledging’ has already begun and the outcome of the first all Bradenham match will be reported next month.

The Club is pleased to welcome back Greenkeeper Tony who has recovered from illness. Unfortunately, Tony will be unable to play but can resume his duties in attending to the Green. Tony would like to thank all those who wished him well for a speedy recovery and he was very touched by their kind words and thoughts.

The Club would like to acknowledge the very generous monetary donation given by Littleproud and Son, our local Funeral Directors.

As the nights draw out many people go for an evening walk and if you pass the Bowls Club and see there is a game going on, please feel free to go in and support the team. It will be much appreciated. Weather permitting games for June are the 1st, 2nd, 6th, 7th, 12th,16th,20th, and 27th.
