February finished up with a lunchtime quiz and hotdog refreshments courtesy of Simon and Kate Hillier and Willgress Butchers Fransham. As ever members enjoyed the event and brought out a competitive spirit!

This competitive streak bodes well as the Club prepares for another new season. On Thursday March 16 there will be a preseason meeting at 7.00 for 7.30pm to be held in the Clubhouse. Members are encouraged to attend to hear the committee outline upcoming events. It will be especially nice to see as many new faces as possible. In preparation for opening the Green on Sunday April 2nd at 2.00pm, there will be a ‘Tidy Up’ event on March 25th. As many hands make light work a fantastic turnout would be appreciated.

The Club will field teams in the Mid Norfolk, Dereham and Age Concern Leagues (although Age Concern is for over 55s only and there are two teams entered this year!) Following a successful promotion campaign last year the Club will play in Division 2 of the Ashill Triples. Additionally, there will be various friendly matches with local sides as well as touring clubs.

The last winter social will be held on Wednesday March 29th. for a Beetle Drive and members are asked to bring a ‘sharing plate of food’ to aid catering.

Please feel free to check out the Club’s website, www.bradenhambowlsclub.co.uk where you can find up to date information, including Committee meeting Minutes.
