Junior Section

Our Junior Section meets most Saturday mornings in the Winter Season which runs from October through to May each year at 9.30am until 12.00 noon.

The start of the 2025/26 season began on 04.10.25 with a regular session alongside our Open Day.

New members are always very welcome.

The Juniors take part in weekly training sessions, internal competitions and the Kent Invicta Junior League being Champions in 2016/17.

Currently two of our juniors are in the England International Squad. If you have children/grandchildren from the age of 8 and upwards, why not bring them along.

It is a very friendly group.

Activities

The Juniors take part in weekly training sessions aimed at developing their skills and learning to play the game in a fun way.

They can take part in internal competitions, skills award certificates and the chance to attend a skills day organised by EBYDS at Mote Park to compete against other young bowlers in their age group.

Some of the older members have also participated in club evening leagues, competitions and weekend matches.

In the past year we have been very successful with our junior bowlers with 2 trying out for the National under 18 England team, 5 playing in the U18 2 Rink Triples reaching the semi-finals, 1 playing in the winning team of the U25 2 Rink Triples team and 3 girls playing in the U25 Kent County Ladies Indoor Bowling Association competition of which 1 won.

For 2 years running, the Kent Young Player of the Year was awarded to 1 of our juniors.
