Welcome Brookland Parish Council

The Parish of Brookland, extends from Brenzett in the north in a south westerly direction to East Guldeford in the south. The shape of the parish is rectangular and narrow, being approximately four miles in length and just over one mile at its widest point. Nearest large towns to Brookland are Ashford (12 miles), Tenterden (11 miles) and Rye (7 miles). 

Brookland is a small community of 193 dwellings within 971.85 Hectares. There are 394 people on the Electoral Roll and 479 residents on the 2011 Census. It falls within the Walland and Denge Marsh ward of Folkestone & Hythe District Council's area. The village has a primary school, church, cemetery, village hall and a unique bell tower all on the edge of Romney Marsh.

In the last 18 months the Parish Council have replaced the village noticeboard, refurbished both the shelter in the multi use games area and the telephone kiosk on the  high street and also replaced the fencing on the burial gound boundary on Boarman's Lane.
