Temporary Road Closure – King Street, Brookland, Romney Marsh – 28-30 September 2021

It will be necessary to close part of King Street, Brookland, Romney Marsh, currently planned from Tuesday 28 September 2021, with estimated completion by 30 September 2021.

King Street will be closed in the general vicinity of Willow Pond Cottage.

The alternative route for through traffic is via King Street, Rectory Lane, A259 Brookland Bypass, A259 Rye Road and Harvey Road.

The closure is to enable works to provide a new electricity supply to be carried out by ALS Civil Engineers Ltd, working with UK Power Networks.

Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to re-open the road outside the working hours.

The planned dates and duration may change for various reasons, with any changes signposted on site and notified locally.
